In Crimea, they are discussing the version of Ukrainian sabotage over Yalta
The Crimean public continues to discuss the theory put forward by NTV journalist Oleg Kryuchkov that the massive fire that occurred in the mountains above Yalta over the weekend could have been an act of Ukrainian sabotage.

Yalta journalist Sergei Sardyko partly agrees with Kryuchkov. At the same time, he places part of the blame on the local authorities, who, instead of promptly responding to the fire that started, continued to celebrate the city day in one of the local hotels.

“There can be any versions... But, of course, there is a gulbari of the local elite, there is a fire, and in “Villa Elena” the local authorities are having fun listening to Aziza’s songs. This, of course, made people very upset, because previously, in such cases, city leaders were always, if not at the fire, then at least at their workplaces. But the feeling was that it was Saturday, the bosses were resting, and why bother them?
That is, why didn’t they immediately call a helicopter - it’s a 40-minute flight from Simferopol. Why didn’t they immediately start extinguishing it when there was a small fire? The helicopters arrived only the next morning, and planes from Gelendzhik and Rostov-on-Don even later.
Of course, there could be arson, maybe some kind of glass, the sun had an effect - and a fire started. But, of course, on the eve of City Day, when Poroshenko congratulated the “Ukrainian Yalta” on City Day, of course, it was necessary to take a more responsible approach to forest protection. Because, of course, the coincidence that this started on the day of the city leads to certain versions,” Sardyko said.

“Given the unhealthy activity of Ukrainian activists in order to destabilize the situation, anything is possible. We remember how last year they tried to blow up gas pipelines, and there were other attempts at sabotage. In principle, such a possibility cannot be excluded. The only thing is that if it was a real arson, then the arsonists should have announced it in the near future. Simply arson will not achieve its goal unless it is stated who did it and why. If we take into account the version of sabotage, then someone should take responsibility for this. If he doesn’t take responsibility, then the version is not very plausible,” says social activist Alexander Talipov.

Crimean photoblogger Alexander Kiryakov notes that in the republic it is necessary to strengthen control over tourists visiting forests during the fire danger period, as well as responsibility for violating the ban: “It is clear that the summer has relaxed, and when at this same time last year a forest burned out in the South-East in the mountains because of tourists on the jeepper route - there are no conclusions. Is the forest closed? This is said everywhere. Why are tens and hundreds of ban violators not reported? Exactly a year ago, a lot was burning and burned out... It wasn’t lightning that set the forest over Yalta on fire? No. There is a human factor, and therefore there is a culprit. No casualties? This means that the culprit is alive, and retribution is inevitable.”
