Russian mobile operators in Crimea are just as afraid of Western sanctions as bankers
Simferopol, May 27 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – The Crimean authorities are thinking about creating their own mobile operator.

This was announced at a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Tuesday. Head of the Republic Sergei Aksenov.
According to him, large Russian mobile network operators are in no hurry to enter the Crimean market, fearing sanctions. This encourages the republic’s authorities to create their own brand.
“We are already talking with the operators, we are even thinking about how to create a Crimean operator, because all mobile operators, unfortunately, are tied to their Western subsidiaries and are afraid of sanctions like fire. Everyone evaluates the Crimean market very carefully. We also tell them: colleagues, come in, because it will be too late - we will create our own Crimean operator,” noted Sergei Aksenov.
In addition, at a meeting of the Council of Ministers today, officials were set a limit on conversations on work mobile phones. According to the text of the document, civil servants were allocated 5,9 thousand rubles per month.
