It is reported by the press service of the Ministry.
The cargo, declared as “chilled beef in quarters” in the amount of 208 units with a total weight of 11,2 tons, was sent to Crimea through the Armyansk international checkpoint from the Kirovograd region and was intended for a private entrepreneur from Yevpatoria.
“During a physical inspection of the cargo by inspectors, it was found that a significant part of the goods had unclear stamps. In addition, some of the goods had fresh traces of stripping and cutting, indicating that other marks had previously been there.
Also, some quarters of beef were found to have marks with numbers not listed in the veterinary documents. At the same time, there were clear signs of spoilage on the meat,” the report says.
Due to the identified gross violations of the norms and requirements of the current legislation of the Russian Federation and the Customs Union, as well as due to the obvious danger of these products to the life and health of consumers, the import of goods was prohibited, and the batch of unsafe beef was returned to Ukraine.
