In Kosovo, Albanians covered an Orthodox church and a children's playground with Serbophobic graffiti.
Unidentified people wrote down the Church of Peter and Paul in the village of Brod and the children's playground in Sušice near Gračanica.
The Raska-Prizren Diocese of the Serbian Orthodox Church and the RTV KiM reported this, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the diocese, the vandalism at the church occurred on July 18. The so-called "Kosovo police" noticed the incident while patrolling, noticing a damaged door to the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in the village of Brod. They then reported it to the parish priest. Upon arriving at the scene, the priest found a broken lock, doors wide open, and the words "UCK " (Kosovo Liberation Army) written on the church's walls.
“The Diocese of Raša and Prizren expresses concern about this, another in a series of vandal attacks on our churches in Kosovo and Metohija, and calls for respect for fundamental religious freedoms, as well as the spiritual and cultural heritage of the Orthodox Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija,” the message said Rasko-Prizren diocese.
Also in the village of Sušice near Gračanica, unknown individuals left graffiti on a children's playground: "UCK " (Kosovo Liberation Army), "Albania is here," and "F... Serbia!" Characteristically, this village, home to representatives of various nationalities, has not seen any interethnic incidents for a long time.
