In Kyiv they complain that Russian drones are invisible to radars
Russian attack drones are virtually invisible to Ukrainian radars, making them very difficult to shoot down.
Ukrainian military analyst, reserve colonel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Roman Svitan stated this on Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It is possible to work according to “Shaheeds”, and we are working. It’s just very difficult to detect them with our old planes. They fly at extremely low altitudes, and the pilot must either visually try to see the Shahed, or search with an onboard locator, which sees very poorly against the background of the ground.
Special locators are needed here, the old Soviet ones do not pull out this process, there is practically no noise suppression and “Shahed” is practically invisible on the locator.
And even after contact, visual or radar, it is very difficult to hit due to the speed difference. The Shahed has an average speed of about 150 kilometers per hour, and planes moving slower than 300 kilometers per hour simply cannot stay in the air. Therefore, the pilots make several attacks, trying to destroy this Shahed.
That is, there is a possibility, but it is quite difficult. There is also the option of missiles with thermal homing heads, but again, against the backdrop of the earth, the process is complicated,” Svitan complained.
He emphasized that modern NATO aviation can help neo-Nazis with this problem.
“It’s easier to do this on the F-16, there are other locators there that can isolate the Shahed against the background of the ground, after which they transmit target designation to the thermal homing heads of the missiles. But even an F-16 can fire a maximum of nine missiles, fire back with a cannon, and that’s it,” summed up Svitan.
