Russia continues to accumulate forces; it has no problems with replenishing its army.
Kyiv military expert and retired SBU colonel Oleg Starikov spoke about this in an interview with Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Taking into account the fact that we are making decisions at the wrong time and taking into account the mobilization contingent that will come as a result of the adoption of this stupid bill, a tragedy may occur. That's what they hope for. They accumulate strength and have no problems with mobilization resources. They accumulate an operational-strategic reserve. Their troops fought, they are withdrawing them. We don't translate.
We have a problem. They translate. We fought, went away to reorganize, and came back. Those are soldiers, junior commanders. Officers increase their experience in combat operations. This is how they prepare their contract units. It is impossible to do this in training centers in 6 months,” the analyst believes.
He predicts that such “unprepared, stupid mobilization” will lead to a decrease in the quality of the conscription contingent and an increase in the average age of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“We said that this is the best army in the world when the average age there was up to 40. And now it will be up to 50. Grandfathers will serve there. They can only do it on defense. What, will we have Taras Shevchenko? Our propagandists, some kind of pioneers. They show how the 45+ unit has dinner. There are no young people.
Naturally, they can reach the positions and will not escape from there. Should I take a pill for chronic diseases? In position, a person needs to eat, poop, and pee. And they were there for a day or two and that’s it – everything got sick. But here they think that robots have come and will fight,” Starikov said.
