In Kyiv they are already calling to distance themselves from unfriendly Poland
Ukraine, given Warsaw’s unfriendly policy regarding the glorification of the OUN-UPA, should not join the project for the supply of Norwegian gas through Poland, which was previously considered as one of the alternatives to Russian fuel.
Energy market expert Mikhail Gonchar stated this in an interview with the Ukrainian newspaper Den.

“Given recent Polish approaches to Ukraine, I would think twice before deciding to commit myself to additional economic or energy relations with a country that is pursuing an increasingly unfriendly policy towards Ukraine,” Gonchar said.
In his opinion, Ukraine could develop gas production on its own territory.
“What is important for us is not the Polish project, but to resolve the issue of increasing our own gas production and abandoning the import of gas as such. According to some estimates not only by Ukrainian experts, who may be considered biased, but also by American independent experts, Ukraine will even be able to export some of its gas. Small volumes, several billion cubic meters, but it can,” assures Gonchar.
