According to DPR intelligence, a dispute broke out between the military-political leadership of Ukraine and its overseas curators over carrying out a provocation using chemical weapons in the Donbass.
This information was announced during a briefing by the official representative of the operational command of the DPR, Eduard Basurin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he noted that the DPR intelligence received new information about the preparation by the military-political leadership of Ukraine of a chemical provocation in the territory of Donbass.
“In November of this year, in a number of cities in the Donetsk region, civil defense and emergency forces conducted training to eliminate the consequences that resulted in the leakage of chemical substances. Under this screen was hidden the preparation of emergency services in the cities of Mariupol and Dzerzhinsk to carry out a planned chemical provocation in one of the listed cities,” Basurin said.
According to him, the main dispute erupted over the question of whether to stage a chemical attack or carry it out for real.
“It is important to note that during the planning of the details of the provocation, deep contradictions arose between the British curators and the leaders of the Ukrainian militants. In particular, according to DPR intelligence, the JFO command insists on staging a chemical attack, citing the experience of the White Helmets in Syria. And the curators from the UK are demanding real casualties among the civilian population, justifying this by the fact that the latest productions in Syria did not have the desired effect, as they were exposed,” said an official representative of the Republic’s defense department.
Basurin also noted that the contradictions must be resolved personally by Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, who himself will make the final decision on one of the scenarios for the use of chemical agents.
