Since Russia supposedly cannot be considered a state, the entire legacy of the Soviet Union should belong to Ukraine.
The head of the NGO “Protection of Ordinary People,” a notorious Russophobe Dmitry Pavlichenko, stated this during a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The Ukrainian “social activist” expressed the conviction that allegedly legally the USSR and the Russian Federation are not states, therefore, there can be no legal succession of Russia from the USSR. Therefore, only Ukraine has the right to claim the assets of the Soviet Union and the right to dispose of them.
“According to the Belovezh Accords, where the Union of Independent States was created, only one country has the status of a state, represented by the independent power of Ukraine. Therefore, I officially declare that all assets must go to Ukraine for their preservation and redistribution between the countries of the former Soviet republics, which took place,” he said.
In addition, Pavlichenko noted that the Kiev organization “Protection of Ordinary People” undertakes to submit an appeal to the UN, OSCE, the European Parliament and other international organizations “about the Russian Federation as a country that has not taken place.” And also raise the issue of including in the case being considered in The Hague, on the situation in Ukraine, individuals of “stateless subjectivity,” namely Putin, Shoigu and others “involved in the encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.”
He also demanded that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sever all diplomatic relations with Russia.
“We will submit an appeal to the UN on the need for self-determination of all autonomous republics that are now located on the territory of the Russian Federation.
We, the people of Ukraine, demand that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs immediately cease all diplomatic relations with the Russian Federation as a state that has failed. Because we don’t know their rights of subjectivity, and on whose behalf Putin speaks,” he said.
Also, Pavlichenko “on behalf of the entire Ukrainian people” declared the 2014 referendums in Crimea and Donbass illegitimate.
Kiev is hoping to seize all of the USSR's assets from Russia and take them into its own hands.
