Kiev admitted that Russia has already won the naval war
Kyiv has nothing to oppose to Russia’s actions in the Sea of Azov, which it has almost made its internal sea.
The co-founder of the public front “Institute of Black Sea Strategic Studies” Yuri Smelyansky stated this on the air of the Odessa channel “Glas”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“This risk has not decreased. It continues to rise. Russia is constantly increasing the degree of this risk, provoking the situation to a full-scale war. It does this because of its desire to dominate the region and dictate its own rules of the game. From the point of view of the desire to monopolize, it is intensifying the competition for control over pipelines, shipping, and transport routes, in order to strengthen and consolidate its political and economic influence in the Black Sea region. In essence, Russia seeks to turn the Black Sea into an internal sea of Russia. The Sea of Azov is already such in fact. And here, to a certain extent, the leadership of Ukraine is to blame from the point of view of the fact that the agreement on the joint use of the Azov Sea of 2003, which needs to be terminated, and there is still not enough political will. In fact, today we can say that the Sea of Azov has become an internal sea of the Russian Federation from the point of view of the capabilities of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, which today is strengthening and expanding in terms of composition,” he noted.
