Kiev admitted that after Moldova, a pro-Russian candidate can win in Ukraine

The disastrous socio-economic results of pro-European politicians in Moldova became the main reason for the victory in the first round of the presidential elections of Igor Dodon, who advocates deepening ties with Russia.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by the director of the information and analytical center “Third Sector” Andrey Zolotarev.

“The results of the socio-economic policy of the authorities and the rather powerful scandal with the missing billion, which on the scale of Ukraine is equivalent to 20 billion dollars, served as a devastating result for the liberals of the pro-European part of the Moldovan politicum. This became the point of the reputational collapse of the Moldovan government.”

“I think that the Moldovan elections should just make Ukrainian politicians think. Ukrainian politics will move somewhere along the same trend in 2017–2018, Zolotarev predicts.
