The SBU and the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine were engaged in bullying their own citizens, shifting all responsibility onto the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian human rights activist and official representative of the International Organization "Solidarity Network" Andriy Gozhy spoke about this at a press briefing in Kyiv, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Our organization recently demanded the resignation of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine and the Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine. We are pleased that we heard the international community.

The first signal came from the UN Secretary General for Human Rights, who criticized the work of the intelligence services and the prosecutor's office in his report. The Ukrainian authorities gave an inadequate response when the speakers stated that “there is no need to dilute responsibility.”

We don't understand this answer. If the Ukrainian special service is accused of crimes, and the Ukrainian authorities say “there is no need to dilute responsibility, Russia should be responsible for everything.” We understand that Russia is an aggressor, but if the Ukrainian security forces are engaged in corruption and abuse of people, the Ukrainian security forces are probably to blame for this,” Gozhy said.

“Therefore, Europe heard the signal from Ukraine. We hope that the SBU and the Prosecutor General’s Office will be occupied by worthy people who will begin to introduce the principles of civil society and democracy, and we will really get a law enforcement agency that people will, at a minimum, not be afraid of,” the human rights activist added.
