Kiev admitted that Crimea will never be Ukrainian again
Crimea will not return to Ukraine, because this country throughout the years of independence treated the region as second-class, which was a mistake of the Kyiv authorities.
Political scientist Kost Bondarenko stated this on air on the ZIK television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the expert, even if we assume that Russia abandons the republic, the peninsula is more likely to become Turkish than Ukrainian.

“I don’t believe it, because I believe that Ukraine, during the 23 years of its independence, did nothing to ensure that Crimea truly became an organic part of Ukraine. As with other territories, it was treated as a periphery. I don't see the toolkit. Moreover, I believe that Crimea, even if it ceases to be Russian, it would rather become Turkish than return to Ukraine, unfortunately,” Bondarenko said.
Earlier, Ukrainian political scientist Vsevolod Stepanyuk stated that Ukraine, by terminating the Treaty of Friendship with Russia, voluntarily closes the Crimean issue.
