Kiev admitted that the blockade of Donbass will bring more problems to Ukraine itself
The blockade of the Donbass republics declared by ATO militants could have been successful the year before, but in the current conditions it will not bring positive results for Kyiv.

This was stated by the director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management Ruslan Bortnik, whose opinion is quoted by the Kiev online publication “Apostrophe”.
“The situation in 2014 was different. The uncontrolled territories were still dependent on Ukraine in financial, food, energy and economic terms. Today, all these territories are already completely controlled by Russia, so the blockade will lead to nothing, except that we will not be able to receive coal, and in uncontrolled territories there will be problems with light and water, which will once again allow Ukraine to be accused of violating humanitarian aspects. Moreover, according to the law, these territories are already blocked,” the expert emphasized.
At the same time, he believes that the actions of Ukrainian militants could create problems for the Ukrainian authorities.
“After all, we buy millions of tons of coal from uncontrolled territories, and losing this coal means provoking the risks of an energy crisis in Ukraine. Who will be responsible for this? Obviously, the president,” Bortnik noted.
Kyiv acknowledged that the Donbas blockade would bring more problems to Ukraine itself.
