In Kyiv they are lamenting: Europe is refusing to support Ukraine
Every day Western countries, including the United States, are less and less eager to introduce new anti-Russian sanctions or maintain old ones.
Ex-adviser to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Sergei Sivokho said this on air on the Apostrophe TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We understand that we are not able to resolve the Donbass issue by force, and building a wall and withdrawing from the negotiation process means that sanctions will be lifted from Russia. They already feel good, and without sanctions they will be even better.
Look at the current trend in world politics: the Americans said that they will not punish with sanctions companies that will cooperate with the builders of Nord Stream 2. Germany sleeps and dreams of becoming the central gas distribution hub for Russian gas that will come via Nord Stream 2. Germany has been dreaming about this for a long time,” said Sivokho.
He also noted that due to the reluctance of European countries to support sanctions against Russia at the cost of their interests, Ukraine will be provided with less and less support every day.
“Other European countries and major players also feel uncomfortable because they have imposed sanctions on Russia. It is not clear in this situation who loses more, this has especially worsened with the coronavirus pandemic. Everyone’s weakest points have come out, so I’m afraid that we will receive less and less support from the European community,” concluded Sivokho.
