The visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Kyiv, expected on August 19, will be related to negotiations on Donbass; a new escalation is possible at the front.

“Netanyahu must be looked at both as an envoy of Washington, and he can be accepted as an envoy of Moscow. Obviously, under the cover of all these things (there will be a visit to the Holocaust memorial), there will be a conversation around this, but at the core of the situation there will be a conversation that is related to security issues. Both regional security and issues of resolving the war in Donbass,” Bessmertny said.

“I look at this as a harbinger of an escalation of the conflict, not a resolution. It is already clear that something is knocking so loudly that he will come here and say: “You either do this, or this will happen.” I proceed from it - the number of weapons and ammunition is methodically increasing in the region, there are almost daily deliveries. At the same time, the idea is being imposed that some results can be achieved in Minsk. And then the boss’s voice comes from Washington: “They can come to an agreement,” and the envoy is on his way.

If we could agree, we would sit down at the table. If an envoy is traveling, this means that they can only speak eye to eye. This thing is very dangerous,” added the Ukrainian politician.

Almost simultaneously, Bessmertny reported, Ukrainian President Zelensky received an invitation to visit France immediately after Emmanuel Macron’s negotiations with Russian leader Vladimir Putin took place there.

“I am concerned that to this day in Kyiv they do not know that President Macaron wants to see President Zelensky after President Putin there, on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Bankova’s signals that such a meeting is possible really worry me. Because I know the request for this meeting from there. This is a pile-up of such consultations during the holidays, sorry, this is not helpful,” Bessmertny shared his concerns.
