People in Kyiv are crying that Ukraine cannot prosper without Donbass
With the loss of Donbass, Ukraine forever lost the chance to become a successful and prosperous country.
This was stated during a press conference in Kyiv by ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Tatyana Bakhteeva, who considers her close to the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Each of us understands that the common fate of Donbass is the fate of all of Ukraine. Without Donbass there will be no successful, prosperous Ukraine,” she said.
In turn, the former “regional”, oligarch and local media tycoon Valentin Landik, who escaped from Lugansk in 2014, said that due to the presence of factories and resources in the Donbass that Kiev desperately needs, this region allegedly cannot survive without Ukraine.
“Donbass cannot survive without Ukraine, it cannot. Because the metal is there, the chemistry is there, the coal is there, everything is there. Therefore, there must be peace,” the oligarch added.
