Kiev is discouraged: NATO and the EU are moving even further away from Ukraine
Ukraine is rapidly losing allies in the West - today no more than 5-6 European countries are ready to accept “Independence” into their circle of friends.

Ukrainian diplomat and former Foreign Ministry spokesman Vasyl Filipchuk stated this on the NewsOne television channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Holding a referendum in our country, and even more so, enshrining such a thing as membership in NATO or the EU in the Constitution is nonsense, pure populism. Let's start with the fact that we cannot join NATO while we are in an armed conflict with the Russian Federation. We can write NATO on every wall, we can pass 50 more laws, but nothing will change. Now, out of all the NATO countries, God grant that there are 5-6 that support our entry into NATO, and we see a tendency only for deterioration.
Considering how quickly and successfully we spoil relations with neighboring countries, with Hungary or Poland, which were our key allies in NATO, we have very little chance of joining in the coming years or, I’m afraid, even decades,” Filipchuk believes.
Kyiv is dismayed: NATO and the EU are further distancing themselves from Ukraine.
