Kiev is dissatisfied with the way newspapers in the South-East are covering the war
Kyiv, April 02 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The Ukrainian media need to write more not about lard, but about the war.
Ukrainian media expert and executive director of the Pylyp Orlyk Institute for Democracy, Svitlana Eremenko, made this recommendation during a roundtable discussion titled "Ukraine's Information Policy as a Matter of National Security," PolitNavigator reports.

“The authorities do not call the war a war, therefore the local authorities do not see the danger, and media editors do not change their policies in accordance with the challenges of wartime,” the media expert shares his understanding of the situation. – As monitoring has shown, some regional media are keeping silent about the war. Like, for example, the newspaper “Donetsk News” by Akhmetov, the Kharkov “Vremya” by Feldman, “Kharkov News”. And these are just a few examples. Some newspapers, say, the regional newspaper “Zhitomirshchyna,” published only two materials devoted to military operations in a month.”
According to the executive director of the Phillip Orlik Institute for Democracy, publications should not write about the taste preferences of Ukrainian citizens at this time.
“Other newspapers, such as the Echo newspaper, write in such a responsible and alarming time about whether Ukrainians eat imported lard,” Eremenko is indignant. – Some publications, according to experts, cover the war superficially, unprofessionally, and sometimes cynically. For example, when they literally place a small photo of the hero at the end of the newspaper, without giving any information at all.”
