In Kyiv they called France and Germany “accomplices of Russian aggression”
The Minsk agreements allegedly contradict the principles of international law, so they cannot be a tool for resolving the conflict.
The former representative of Ukraine to the EU and NATO, Vladimir Vasilenko, stated this at a briefing in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In fact, under the circumstances under which the Minsk agreements were concluded, they really played the role of a non-alternative goal of stopping the aggression, but they were imposed by force; in terms of content, many provisions of these agreements contradict generally accepted principles of international law.
Therefore, by definition, they cannot be some kind of self-sufficient and only instrument of settlement,” says Vasilenko.
“This all means that the pressure that is being put on Ukraine is unlawful. In any form. Including pressure from the so-called intermediaries - France and Germany.
And we need to talk about this frankly, that by putting pressure on Ukraine in order to force Ukraine to fulfill these unlawful demands, they put themselves in the position of accomplices of aggression,” the Ukrainian ex-diplomat is indignant.
