This was announced by the head of the department, Vladimir Omelyan, while checking the progress of the repair of the bridge along the Odessa-Reni highway near the village of Palanka, the ministry’s Facebook page reports.
“Vladimir Omelyan noted that this year it is planned to restore about 80 bridges throughout Ukraine,” the message says.
The minister also announced the opening of a bypass road during the repair of the bridge on the Odessa-Reni highway. According to the minister, work to restore the bridge should be completed this fall.
“The destroyed bridge caused a lot of inconvenience for residents of the region; for six months people were forced to travel through Belgorod-Dnestrovsky. But literally in a few days, on May 15, a bypass road will be opened during the reconstruction of the bridge, and the bridge itself should be completed in October-November of this year,” Omelyan said.
As reported, the completion of the Podolsky Bridge in Kyiv alone will require 350 million euros.
As PolitNavigator previously reported , Ukraine lacks the funds to renovate its commuter trains. The Ministry of Infrastructure is seeking €100 million from Germany for this purpose.
