Crimean Tatars, detained yesterday by the FSB as a result of searches in Simferopol, are suspected of having connections with the terrorist organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir. This is stated in the message of the Muftiate of Crimea.

According to Deputy Mufti Esadullah Bairov, prohibited literature and information on flash drives were found in the houses of the five detainees.

“Unfortunately, according to law enforcement officers, during the search literature, materials, and flash drives with materials from this organization were found. Hizb ut-Tahrir is a banned organization in Russia and is considered terrorist. Therefore, the organization of cells of this party is punishable by law. We call on all Muslims to be vigilant to this movement and take appropriate measures to protect themselves and their families,” Bairov said.
