Ukraine spits on the Minsk agreements and continues to kill the Russians of Donbass. Petro Poroshenko hopes for a new round of war to avoid losing the presidential elections. In a number of regions of Ukraine, despite the powerful repressive apparatus, major popular unrest may begin.

This opinion was expressed by State Duma deputy Viktor Vodolatsky during the press conference “Elections in Donbass and the Minsk Agreements,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The facts show that neither Ukraine nor the West want the implementation of the Minsk agreements. We constantly talk about this, groups gather in Minsk, where Boris Gryzlov constantly addresses the participants in the negotiation processes, that not a single point of the agreements is being implemented. The death of Alexander Vladimirovich Zakharchenko generally undermined confidence in the Minsk agreements, because all the signatories understand that Ukraine today is deliberately pushing its entire civil society to continue aggression, because Minsk’s red line is to stop shelling civilians, stop killing old people, women and children,” – he noted.

“The entire Poroshenko group understands that it will not win the elections. Poroshenko today has the lowest level of trust that all presidents had.

A powerful internal conflict is brewing on the territory of Ukraine today, taking into account the repressive apparatus that works in this area, including the Right Sector, the SBU, and specialists from Western intelligence services.

Of course, people today are afraid to openly take to the streets, but in any situation that pushes Ukraine to declare martial law, which Poroshenko predicts when defending the elections, then in a number of territories a situation may well occur that could lead to an even larger-scale Maidan, which I was once in Kyiv in 2014,” Vodolatsky said.
