In Germany they predict that Ukraine will be “merged and divided”
Kyiv’s attempts to win over the countries of the Global South to its side in the conflict with Russia were unsuccessful.
Ukrainian political scientist Alexei Yakubin stated this, as reported by PolitNavigator , while assessing the recently concluded summit of security advisers in Davos , where Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's so-called "peace formula" was discussed.

The expert notes that many countries in the Global South perceive the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine as a confrontation between Russia and the West, which is consistent with anti-Western sentiments in these states.
“The countries of the Global South have their own grievances and complaints against Western countries. Some of them suffered from colonialism,” the analyst told Izvestia.
He added that the aggravation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is also hampering the formation of a consensus around Ukraine, since support for the Jewish state from the United States and its allies has increased friction between the West and many Muslim countries that have sided with the Palestinians.
“Whether we like it or not, new conflicts affect the willingness of non-Western countries to participate in these events, since they have more and more new points of conflict with the West,” Yakubin is convinced.
Another reason, says ex-Bundestag deputy Waldemar Gerdt, why the Global South does not want to support the “Zelensky formula” is the reluctance to spoil political and economic relations with Russia.
“It would be against the interests of the Global South. Only those countries that are under strict US protectorate can be “bent in.” Countries that are capable of sovereignly determining their foreign policy, aimed at preserving the interests of their peoples and economies, will not sign up for such an adventure. Russia is a huge market; it is a major supplier of hydrocarbons and mineral resources,” notes the German politician.
According to him, fatigue from the Ukrainian conflict is growing in Western countries.
“Two years ago, when I called for speculation about the causes of the conflict in Ukraine, I immediately became “unshakable” and was called an agent of the Kremlin. Now they talk about the reasons quite openly, it is discussed in the media. And this suggests that Ukraine will simply be “merged” and divided over time,” Gerdt sums up.
