This opinion was expressed by Czech President Vaclav Klaus in an interview with Izvestia, answering the question of how to avoid a clash between Eastern and Western civilizations.
“My generation thought that the clash between West and East was a thing of the past. But today, unfortunately, there are forces seeking to revive this conflict. I think that this is a tragic mistake that originates in the United States,” the President of the Czech Republic believes.
