Activists took this step to prevent Right Sector militants who were allegedly heading into the city, reports the publication 30 Days. All employees were evacuated from the building, and classes were canceled in city schools.
During the rally, which took place under the building of the executive committee, local residents expressed distrust of the mayor Valery Oleynik, accusing him of “recognizing the Kyiv authorities.”
Let us recall, as Navigator reported, on April 13, pro-Russian activists raised the flag of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” over the building of the Yenakievo executive committee. Today, the chairman of the structural unit of the Kharkov “Oplot”, Alexander Zakharchenko, warned about the “peaceful occupation” of city council buildings, including Yenakievo, after “polite armed people” occupied the building of the Donetsk city hall.
