He told DAN journalists about this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.”
In particular, Zakharchenko noted the fact that on March 5 of this year the “spring truce” began, which can be called one of the most successful. Alexander Vladimirovich emphasized that the truce is generally respected.

“There are hopes that the ceasefire will become permanent,” said the head of the DPR.
In addition, the head of the republic made a proposal regarding further steps to resolve the situation in the region.
“On the eve of this great holiday for all Christians, I propose to declare an “Easter Truce” starting from Holy Week (April 1). I give instructions to Denis Vladimirovich Pushilin, the permanent authorized representative of the DPR in Minsk, without waiting for the next meeting of the Contact Group, to determine the main parameters of this truce next week via videoconference.
I urge all parties to the negotiation process to support this proposal and take another step towards peace in Donbass,” concluded Zakharchenko.
