Uzbekistan will deal a fatal blow to Ukraine
Uzbekistan may introduce restrictive measures in relation to goods from Ukraine, said local parliament member Rasul Kusherbaev.
He drew attention to the message that in Kyiv, at the call of Ukravtoprom, an investigation has been launched regarding the supply of passenger cars assembled in Uzbekistan.

It's all about the sharp increase in the export of Uzbek cars to Ukraine. If in 2015 only 328 of them were delivered, then in the past there were already 2823 cars, or 20% of all imports from abroad.
Now representatives of the Ukrainian automobile industry are demanding that grounds be found for limiting the import of Uzbek cars.
“Over the past three years, products worth 642 million dollars were imported to Uzbekistan from Ukraine, and goods worth only 169 million dollars were exported from our country... Uzbekistan also has a sufficient number of manufacturers of products that can become import-substituting for goods from Ukraine, in particular in terms of production confectionery, fat and oil products, medicines, sugar,” the deputy said.
The Ambassador of Ukraine to Uzbekistan Yuriy Savchenko hastened to make a reassuring speech - according to him, the check will last about a year, before which Kyiv will not introduce any restrictions.
“No restrictive measures were introduced in relation to Uzbek cars in Ukraine. This is prohibited by law until the investigation is completed. We invite Uzbekistan to dialogue,” Savchenko said.
Former candidate for mayor of Odessa Vyacheslav Azarov believes that Ukrainian officials are not in vain afraid of sanctions from Uzbekistan.
“So Uzbekistan is going to impose sanctions against Ukraine. The turnover seems to be small, $300 million. But coupled with Russian sanctions and debt payments in 2019, this is a painful blow. With such losses for the economy and the well-being of citizens, European politicians would have resigned long ago. But Ukraine is not Europe,” Azarov stated.
