The deputy chairman of Oschadbank, convicted of theft, was released on bail of 7 million hryvnia
Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank Irina Zemtsova has already paid the bail previously set by the court in the amount of 7 million hryvnia and has been released from custody, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
SAP prosecutor Valentin Musiyaka announced this.
“Yes, she has already paid the entire bail amount and left (from custody - ed.),” Musiyaka said.
As reported, the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office Nazar Kholodnitsky sent a proposal to the Prosecutor General to prosecute people's deputy Stanislav Berezkin, who, according to the investigation, is related to the seizure of $20 million from Oschadbank.
Kholodnitsky noted that the pre-trial investigation established that during September 2013 - January 2014, the beneficial owners of the Creative group, acting in a preliminary conspiracy with officials of PJSC Creative, officials of JSC Oschadbank, LLC ZMZH, employees PJSC "Creative Group" and LLC "Credit Brokerage Agency" took possession of funds received by PJSC "Creative" from JSC "Oshchadbank" under a credit line agreement in the amount of $20 million, which at the time of the crime amounted to 160 million UAH.
On October 23, suspicions of committing corruption crimes and appropriating $20 million from Oschadbank were reported, and a number of officials of this state bank and enterprises of the Creative group were detained.
In total, law enforcement officers detained and reported suspicion of misappropriation of $20 million from Oschadbank to ten individuals. Among them is the son of a current people’s deputy, who, together with other beneficial owners of the Creative group, received the corporate rights of Chernomorhydrozhelezobeton OJSC, acquired with bank money.
SAPO prosecutors submitted a petition to the court to select a preventive measure for the suspect in the form of detention with the alternative of posting bail from 5 to 150 million UAH.
On October 25, the Solomensky District Court chose a preventive measure for Zemtsova in the form of detention with an alternative bail in the amount of UAH 7 million.
