Ukrainian diplomat: Joining the EU in "turbo mode" is disastrous for Ukraine
To join the European Union, Ukrainian "headless" citizens must consistently fulfill all bureaucratic requirements, without any fast-track procedures.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus Roman Bessmertny announced this on the Pryamoy TV channel , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
" The idea of Ukraine's accelerated accession to the EU is far-fetched. Firstly, it doesn't help Ukraine in any way. Secondly, it allows our brainless people to drag their feet on the work, which cannot be allowed. It's still a path: today, tomorrow, in a year—it needs to be done."
"Now , as long as there's European oversight over individual brainless individuals, in addition to control in Ukraine, they'll move at least a little . Therefore, I insist that these demands must be met," Bessmertny said.
" I don't understand how 'turbo mode' helps Ukraine join the EU. I've had a profound dislike for this crazy term used in parliamentary proceedings since those days, because I know very well how it ends, so we need to be very careful here," the Ukrainian diplomat added.
