Ukraine carried out a nighttime air raid on Crimea and Tuapse.
The port city of Tuapse, near Sochi, was hit the hardest by yet another nighttime raid by Ukrainian drones ( which, alas, has now become routine ).
Tuapse is home to a terminal for the export of petroleum products from the local refinery, as well as the Saratov, Achinsk, and Samara refineries. Drones flew over residential areas, resulting in the destruction of 24 private homes, six apartment buildings, and schools. A 14-year-old girl was among the two fatalities. Schools were cancelled today.
"Numerous pieces of debris fell on the premises of enterprises in the seaport area," Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported.
Authorities in Crimea, where air raid sirens have also been issued several times since yesterday, are not releasing any details. However, eyewitnesses report a fire near a fuel storage facility near Bakhchisarai – black smoke in the sky was visible from as far away as Sevastopol this morning.
Thus, the enemy's strategy remains the same : having launched drone production in Europe, to launch daily massive strikes against Russia's export capacities, hoping to reduce budget revenues.
In Crimea, in addition to oil depots, the Ukrainian Armed Forces regularly try to break through to power plants in order to plunge the peninsula into darkness.
