Ukrainianism is destroying the Ukrainian state
As a phenomenon, political Ukrainianness is not creative and generates destruction, and therefore is a threat to the existence of Ukraine.
This opinion is expressed in his blog on the website of the Korrespondent magazine by Kiev journalist Igor Lesev, according to whom, Russophobia has always been an indicator of self-identification in Ukraine.
“Ukrainianism as a phenomenon is Russophobia and rejection of Russianness. Absolutely all elections until 2014 were built along the lines of this paradigm. East versus West, where the basic line of identification remained the issue of the Russian language. This is exactly what was sold on the market for political services, regardless of the actual attitude of political actors to this issue. If you want to become the mayor of Lugansk or a deputy from Krivoy Rog, according to the law of the election campaign, your program cannot contain anything Russophobic. And a completely different program was built in Ternopil, Zhmerinka and even Russian-speaking Kyiv,” notes Lesev.
“The result is a wonderfully schizophrenic society. For millions of people on both sides of the Dnieper, the primary thing is not whether some bitch is stealing money from the state budget, but what language this bitch/respected person speaks,” the journalist emphasizes.
He believes that at this stage the “priests of Ukrainianism” are trying to actively oppose themselves to the external enemy, which only works in the short term.
“Russia, whatever it really is, is an internal closed system. This means there can be no mass involvement of native Ukrainians in confrontation with this closed system. But there is no involvement, which means there is no process, without which Ukraine will degrade to the level of a cargo cult. The Crimean Bridge is being completed - zrada. New sanctions were introduced against Mordor - victory. But this is all a reflection on external processes in which Ukraine takes part as an observer.
Well, the other biggest problem of Ukraine is that it is not creative. Ukrainianness is built on opposition, prohibition and identification of the other. All these are functions of a destructive nature. That is why the Ukrainian political system is not self-sufficient. The system is emotional as opposed to rational. She doesn't make money. Does not create comfort in the hostel. She completely ignores social responsibility. And as a result, a paradoxical thing happens. It is Ukrainianness that is destroying the Ukrainian state,” Lesev comes to the conclusion.
