Ukrainian society believes less and less in a turning point at the front
Constant statements by representatives of the Ukrainian government and command that in the near future there will be a turning point on the fronts and the Armed Forces of Ukraine will go on a counter-offensive are unrealistic things that generate disappointment among the country's population.
Military expert Igor Koziy stated this on the Lviv television channel NTA, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Koziy, the volume of Western aid that comes to Ukraine does not allow us to talk about the turning points that were announced for August by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov.
“As for the “turns” from Budanov, excuse me, take a look at his earlier performances before this. The deadline is constantly being postponed, this is already a system. When the system constantly promises something in the future, some actions in the future, but does not give anything in return in the current time, then disbelief occurs. This needs to be taken into account and understood,” says the expert.
“Well, he said, what next? We now have, at a minimum, according to my calculations, we need ten divisions of HIMARS? No, they didn’t show up, we only have what was announced – six cars, and three more are on the way. Is this the quantity that will make a turning point in the resource war? No,” Koziy said.
