Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko does not intend to comply with the Minsk agreements and achieve peace in the Donbass; all his actions are dictated by the interests of oligarchic clans seeking to siphon the last money out of Ukraine.

Ukrainian human rights activist Vladimir Chemeris stated this on the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“It seems to me that Poroshenko has long been recognized as incompetent, because many things, starting with the Minsk agreements, which he signed, are not being implemented in one way or another, including through the fault of our government.

The question is that the president, in the situation in which he finds himself, has to seek re-election for a second term. This depends not only on his personal desire, but also on a group of representatives of big capital who are associated with the current government and want to continue to extract excess profits from Ukraine in the next political cycle,” Chemeris said.
