Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danylyuk made this promise, PolitNavigator reports, citing the ministry's website.
"We don't have much time to prepare. We've already done a lot. Land reform, privatization, and the reform of the enforcement service require redoubled efforts. These reforms won't take long. We can implement them within a year if we prioritize them," he said during the Ukrainian Financial Forum in Odesa on Thursday, organized by the ICU investment group.
He also noted that he sees potential for economic growth of 6-7% in the coming years.
“Yes, I believe that the results of the reforms will be felt soon. I've talked to hundreds of investors and it feels like a tsunami in a good sense of the word. I'm talking about the interest of investors in Ukraine. But this opportunity should be used,” Danilyuk emphasized.
However, as noted by the Kyiv-based publication Finclub, during the discussion, Timothy Ash, chief sovereign debt strategist at BlueBay Asset Management, noted that he does not believe the Ukrainian minister's optimistic forecasts.
