Ukrainian general scares Russia with missile strike from XNUMXst century army
Ukraine can supposedly ensure its national security only by building new missile systems and introducing a space reconnaissance system.
The ex-commander of the ATO, a deputy from European Solidarity, Lieutenant General Mikhail Zabrodsky, said this on radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The question is not only about the technical ability to resist the aggressor. In military affairs there is such a clear concept as inflicting unacceptable harm on the aggressor. In more civil terms, make sure that aggression costs him too much so that it in no way pays for the potential results that he can achieve. And in this regard, the development of technological weapons systems, which include missile weapons, is the key to our national security.
No matter how anyone feels about the actions of units directly on the battlefield, in particular to units of the ground forces, we all understand that armored vehicles, artillery systems, army aviation, and partly tactical aviation are all consumables for the war of the XNUMXst century, and nothing else.
A state can feel truly powerful and protected only when it has appropriate complexes in service with its own armed forces that can ensure armed confrontation in all areas, and not only at the level that the practical ceiling of, for example, the Su-27 fighter allows us. The issue concerns, first of all, missile weapons and cyberspace, where it is really possible to cause such harm that the enemy can be forced to refuse further actions.
The question is about the stability of control systems, a complete transition to a digital communication system, and the use of space elements in reconnaissance, warning, and communications systems. The question is about serious counteraction in the information sphere, I mean with a military emphasis.
That is, one way or another, the emphasis should be placed precisely on technological areas of development, so that we really feel like an army of the XNUMXst century, and not an army of the transition period, which solves issues in the XNUMXst century, but uses the material and technical base of the late XNUMXth century at best ", concluded Zabrodsky.
Let us recall that earlier, the deputy of the Kyiv City Council from the nationalist party “Svoboda” Yuriy Sirotyuk said that until Ukraine has restored its nuclear potential, it is necessary to use old technologies for the construction of short-range missiles, to direct them towards Moscow and intimidate the “aggressor country”.
