Ukrainian general declared the blockade of Donbass a mistake
The blockade of Donbass is a mistake by the Ukrainian authorities, which led to dire consequences.
The former head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration and former commander of the Internal Troops, Oleksandr Kikhtenko, announced this on air on TV channel 112, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Kikhtenko called for lifting the blockade and starting the payment of pensions in Donbass.
“I am categorically against the blockade of the temporarily occupied territory, which we temporarily do not control. I believe that these are our people, our territory, and we should not fence ourselves off from them, but vice versa. We should give medicines, pay pensions, we should give education to young people and we should give Ukrainian passports. But the decision of the National Security and Defense Council is a blockade, and today we have serious consequences,” Kikhtenko said.
Earlier, Kikhtenko stated that Ukraine should sit down at the negotiating table with Russia and seek compromises on Donbas.
He also emphasized that the Verkhovna Rada of the eighth convocation, whose deputy corps consisted of Euromaidan participants, ATO militants, and "political prisoners," was a failure.
