Ukrainian MP: The US will stop the offensive in Donbass, just as they stopped tanks near Tbilisi
Kyiv, February 06 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) - The United States gave a clear signal to the Ukrainian leadership that if Russia continues to support the offensive of the militias in Donbass, Kyiv will receive American military assistance.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Borislav Bereza stated this on the Inter TV channel.

According to him, they will provide assistance to Ukraine, as they once helped Georgia, when Russian tanks were already on the approaches to Tbilisi, giving a clear signal to Russia of its readiness to intervene.
“If Russia continues to behave as it is now, we will not allow the map of Europe to be redrawn,” Bereza retold the words of the Americans.
“We received this signal that America will provide all possible military assistance... Russian plans have been thwarted,” the deputy asserts.
In his opinion, in the conflict in Donbass, the main influence on Russia is the United States, not the EU. “Europe simply found itself on the sidelines of the negotiation process,” Bereza said.
The deputy’s words were questioned by the former speaker of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Oleg Voloshin. According to him, the Barack Obama administration does not take actions without agreement with the Europeans.
Voloshin emphasized that if contradictions arise between the United States and the EU regarding Ukraine, “all sanctions will collapse” - the Russian economy depends, first of all, on ties with Europe, and not with America, the expert says.
