Ukrainian mines fail coal production plan
Kyiv, February 02 (PolitNavigator, Alexander Semenyuta) – Coal mining enterprises in Ukraine are working worse and worse. Since the beginning of the year, the coal production plan has been fulfilled by 85,5%. The “minus” to the established target amounted to 575,9 thousand tons of fuel. This was reported by the Trade Union of Coal Industry Workers of Ukraine with reference to operational data from the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry.

In total, in January 2014, coal mining enterprises of all forms of ownership produced 3,42 million tons of coal.
Including mines subordinate to the Ministry of Energy and Coal Mining, 700 thousand tons of coal were produced against the plan of 786,1 thousand tons.
In 2014, Ukrainian coal mining enterprises reduced production by 22% – to 65 million tons.
Ukrainian mines have failed to meet their coal production targets.
