Ukrainian pirates freed captured Russian captain

The captain of the Kerch fishing vessel “Nord”, kidnapped by Ukrainian border guards, Vladimir Gorbenko, was released pending the main trial in the case.

The Kherson City Court made this decision late yesterday evening, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Gorbenko, who described his health as “average,” went to the hospital after his release. Today at noon a court hearing is scheduled to take place in Kherson, where a preventive measure will be chosen for the Russian sailor.

“I feel average. During this time I already had two hypertensive crises. Yesterday, after registering me in the isolation ward, the doctors recorded high blood pressure - 210 over 100,” Gorbenko told reporters.
