The “permanent representative” of the President of Ukraine in Crimea, Boris Babin, said that Ukrainian combat dolphins from Sevastopol refused to obey the “Russian occupiers” and died, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to Babin, the dolphins, trained by the Ukrainian Navy, communicated with the trainers through special whistles.
“The Russians received these whistles and all the other special equipment of the corresponding military unit, but the trained animals refused not only to interact with the new Russian trainers, but also refused food and died after some time,” the official said.
Babin also emphasized that many Ukrainian military personnel “took the issue of oath and loyalty to the banner much worse than these dolphins.”
