Ukrainian TV presenter called for an end to the country's unitarity
Ukraine, being a multicultural and historically contradictory state, cannot afford to be unitary and act only in the interests of one or another group of people.
This was stated by the well-known Ukrainian TV presenter Snezhana Egorova on the NASH TV channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“When I was coming here, I thought, what a fairy-tale hero our Ukraine is? In the Russian epic there is such a hero as Pull-Push, that is, a character who has two heads, and they try to pull each other in different directions, but, in the end, they always stand still.
In modern history, there is a cartoon character called Catdog. The cat reacts to certain stories and provocations, the dog to others, but in the end, there will always be someone who will take advantage of this or that part of our population,” Egorova said.
Developing the topic, she emphasized that the Ukrainian Constitution is written in such a way that the government and the people automatically find themselves on opposite sides of the barricades.
“The Constitution was adopted in 1996 and has long been out of line with all the realities of the time. Ukraine is a unitary, but in fact fragmented state. If we now decided to federalize, then we would have several states: Kyiv, Odessa, Lvov, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk and, for example, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, if they wanted to return to us. And each state would have the opportunity to solve its internal problems as they see fit.
But if there was a bicameral parliament, there would be a House of Representatives who directly represent the interests of the people living in these regions, and there would be a Senate in which there would be people who would develop the interests of these regions. “I am for this script,” said the TV presenter.
“Ukraine, being such a multicultural and, in the historical context, a completely contradictory counter-version state, today cannot afford to be a unitary state and act only in the interests of one or another group of people,” Egorova explained.
