The Ukrainian prosecutor's office screwed up the Yanukovych case
The General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine, which opened a criminal case against ex-President Viktor Yanukovych, cannot prove his guilt.

This opinion was expressed at a press conference in Kyiv by Ukrainian political expert Pavel Karnazytsky, who noted that in a rule-of-law state, accusations brought forward must be based on evidence.
“In Ukraine, ever since the Maidan, they did a tricky thing: our politicians put the accusation ahead of collecting evidence,” the expert said. “And today the prosecutor’s office finds itself in a situation where there is already an indictment, but there is no evidence. And it becomes more and more difficult to find them every year, because they may not exist at all, just as Yanukovych’s “golden toilet” and many of the things he was accused of did not turn out to be.”
