Ukrainian band canceled performances in the USA: musicians of “free Ukraine” were denied American visas

The Ukrainian band Onuka had to cancel a tour of cities in the USA and Canada due to the fact that the band's lead singer Natya Zhizhchenko and the musicians were not given Canadian and American visas.

This was reported by the publication TabloID.

The US Immigration Service did not provide an official response, so the musicians were unable to obtain work visas.

“Due to the results of obtaining visas for the Onuka group, we are forced to cancel the planned concerts as part of a tour of cities in the USA and Canada. We hope that the results will soon be reviewed and the planned performances will take place in full,” said the tour organizers.

“We have become hostages of circumstances, and, unfortunately, we will not see our fans in the USA and Canada this year. We are very upset by the cancellation of the concerts, but we hope that we will be able to please our listeners in North America in 2016,” said the group’s lead singer Nata Zhizhchenko.
