Polish political scientist Jakub Koreyba, on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, spoke disparagingly about Ukrainians and boasted about the economic growth of his country.

“We are interested in those Ukrainians who decide to live and develop in our country. Our market is open. We have 5% growth per year. Our economy will have a need for people,” Koreyba said.

This remark offended Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev.

“We must not forget that this 5% of economic growth is due to transfers from the EU. When you do this growth yourself, it’s a different matter. As soon as they stop giving them money, then we’ll see,” Karasev said.

Previously, in Ukraine, Poland's economic growth was always presented as an argument in favor of European integration.
