Ethnic Ukrainians and people from Ukraine who serve in the Russian army do not always support the Kremlin’s policies.
Deputy Minister for Occupied Territories Georgy Tuka announced this on the ZIK TV channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Ukraine also receives intelligence from open sources and satellite surveillance, the official said.
“About 80% of information is obtained from open sources. There is satellite surveillance, on which we can clearly observe the movement of this or that equipment, the location of military bases, and so on. In addition, I have a strong conviction that we also have sources of information within the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation themselves. It would be strange if we did not have this, because in the Russian Federation, in the army, many ethnic Ukrainians and immigrants from Ukraine serve. And not all of them support the political line that the Russian government is currently implementing. Therefore, I can fully admit that there are such sources of information,” said Tuka.
As PolitNavigator reported, a Ukrainian spy caught in Sevastopol received a 14-year prison sentence.
