Modern Ukraine is increasingly immersed in medieval obscurantism with its dark times and witch hunts.
Komsomolskaya Pravda writes about this, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"It seems Ukraine has returned to medieval Europe. Soon, witch hunts and leper hunts will begin. First, in Novi Sanzhary, local savages, terrified of the 'deadly virus,' wanted to tear their fellow citizens returning from China to shreds . And now, a new story from medieval Ukraine has unfolded. They're probably still wearing the torches and pitchforks from the previous coronavirus pogroms," the publication writes.
The publication notes that in Chernivtsi, a crowd of people besieged the apartment of a woman whose husband was hospitalized with coronavirus and demanded that she be evicted from the house.
“A frightened woman barricaded herself in her apartment. She has no fever or cough. There are no symptoms even of a common cold. But did this stop the “good neighbors”? To make their medieval cry heard, the Ukrainians went to block the road.
Neither the mayor of the city, nor the doctors, nor the police could calm the rioters. The authorities followed the lead of the crowd - the woman was put in an ambulance and taken to quarantine. They probably understood that if you left her at home, the “wild” would break down the door and burn the witch. But all this is just the beginning of panic in the “plague-ridden city.” Imagine when the number of cases increases. Then these same protesters will go to burn down hospitals. How else can you defeat the flu in the 21st century? So it’s not far from the coronavirus Maidan,” KP sums up.
