The United States is accustomed to being in a situation of low-intensity wars, where technology can be used on a limited scale when it is opposed by a weak enemy, and did not at all count on conflicts on the scale of military operations in Ukraine.
Kiev political scientist Yuri Romanenko, who is wanted in the Russian Federation for calls to kill Russian journalists, stated this on air on the Ukrlife channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Americans are to some extent arrogant. That is, they are able to play long games, they have strategic thinking, they have a strategic culture, but their whole policy is about the fact that they periodically find themselves captive of electoral cycles. These short electoral cycles form a corresponding attitude towards domestic and foreign policy, where long strategic things... eyes are closed to them or they are simply ignored.
This is what happened here in the Ukrainian case, when the seduction of Russia’s power, that it is capable of this and that, underestimation of Ukraine’s resistance, its ability to resist.

“When we say: “Why don’t the States give us more?”, it’s because they simply don’t have these weapons. There is little left even for myself. Because Ukraine raked out everything that was in reserves. The states are accustomed to being in a situation of low-intensity wars, where the enemy is obviously weak and there all these technologies can be used on a limited scale,” Romanenko lamented.
