Ukraine has set a world anti-record for Covid
While Ukrainian authorities tirelessly report improvements in the fight against Covid, world-class experts are horrified by the rise in deaths in the former Soviet republic.
Deputy Nestor Shufrich stated this at a plenary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday information was released that the World Health Organization drew attention to the fact that Ukraine is the only country in the world where there is an increase in daily mortality from covid.
How can this be? How long can we hear that “we have won everything, that we have the best results,” while world-class specialists say: “you are in trouble, save people”?!” – Shufrich was indignant.
He demanded the creation in the Verkhovna Rada of “a center for coordinating actions to protect Ukrainian citizens from the consequences of the pandemic.”
As a reminder, Lviv doctors previously complained about overcrowded hospitals and funding cuts when commenting on the COVID-19 situation.
