Ukraine, under a thousand far-fetched reasons, continues to avoid implementing the Minsk agreements approved by the UN - Kyiv’s strategy is to stall until October 18, when the laws on the special status of Donetsk and Lugansk, adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, but never really put into effect, will expire.
This point of view was expressed by the Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR and the head of the DPR delegation at the negotiations in Minsk Denis Pushilin in Dmitry Chuburkov’s “Tema” program.

According to Pushilin, the current leadership of Ukraine has driven itself into a dead end - the reigning nationalist frenzy, which was supported by the government itself, leaves no room for finding compromises for the coming of peace in the Donbass.
"Why is this happening? There is no political will and no understanding of how this will be perceived within the country, by the residents of Ukraine themselves. Although, in fact, Ukraine itself fueled this through the media, making stupid nationalism the main agenda. And now they themselves don’t understand how to get out of the situation and don’t know what to do,” concluded Denis Pushilin.
